This is probably the most excited I’ve ever felt about a painting before. For the first time it was like pure joy creating this piece. This one is special to me. It’s a self-portrait.

It all made sense. Like a series of paintings exploring a topic or theme, where each painting delves into one aspect of the topic and common themes unite them into a series of something more that they could ever be on their own. Arirang did the same.
